On November 17, a partnership agreement was signed between the We Compete As One foundation and the Belarus Tennis Federation. The agreement was signed by Nikita Mazepin, the founder of WCAO, Elena Rufova, the CEO of WCAO, and Sergey Rutenko, the chairman of BTF. The partnership provides for legal, psychological, educational and career guidance to Belarusian athletes suspended from international competitions.
“I am glad to see the Belarus Tennis Federation among our Foundation’s partners. It is a great honour for me to understand that my initiative is getting a response and understanding in Belarus. We are ready to help Belarusian athletes, who have been suspended from participation in international competitions for non-sporting reasons”, said Nikita Mazepin.
“The main goal of the BTF now is to create necessary conditions for the growth and development of Belarusian tennis players, and use its efforts to invalidate illegal and destructive decisions of international sports organisations. We are glad that Belarusian tennis players now have a reliable partner in We Compete As One. We are confident that the Foundation will act as a link to provide athletes with new opportunities – it will support the suspended athletes, help with getting psychological and legal advice, a new education and employment”, commented Sergey Rutenko.
