We Compete As One signed agreement with Russian Swimming Federation

On November 24, the We Compete As One foundation and the Russian Swimming Federation signed a cooperation agreement. The signing took place in Kazan as part of the Friendship Games, an international competition in swimming, synchronised swimming and diving. The agreement was signed by Nikita Mazepin, the founder of WCAO, and Vladimir Salnikov, the president of the Russian Swimming Federation and a four-time Olympic champion.

During the Friendship Games, Nikita Mazepin took part in the award ceremony and talked about activities of the Foundation.

The partnership with RSF will create additional opportunities to assist athletes, including swimmers, who have been suspended from competitions for non-sporting reasons. The agreement provides for joint events to promote the Foundation’s agenda.

“I am glad to be here today at such a large-scale event, which brought together representatives of 22 countries. The possibility for any athlete to compete fairly, regardless of non-sporting factors, is a fundamental principle of Olympism, and I believe that we will be able to return to this approach. Our Foundation already provides support to swimmers, and we are ready to scale up this process and become a reliable friend and partner for the Russian Swimming Federation”, said Nikita Mazepin.
